Angela founded Vervia in 2006. Having spent 20 years in recruitment and what used to be known as ‘personnel’ (now HR), Angela has been meticulous in building her team of head office and front-line staff. Not surprisingly, she is a crusader for good working conditions, believing that contented and enthusiastic staff are far more likely to deliver a better service.
Braden heads up the Operations team, combining the day to day running of the business with strategic input. He spent many years in South Africa, where he learned the skill of how to adapt to changing conditions. Braden loves the daily challenge of contract cleaning and coming up with practical solutions. He is NEBOSH qualified in Health and Safety.
Becky worked in HR and recruitment for over 15 years before joining Vervia in 2014 as Office Manager. Daily, she addresses the challenges presented in recruiting, vetting and on-boarding cleaning and caretaking operatives in an area that has almost zero unemployment. Becky’s French Bulldog, Ruby, helps in the office, although she has Wednesdays as a ‘work from home’ day with her dog walker.
Francoise joined Vervia in 2017. Previously she worked as a finance manager for a not-for-profit organisation specialising in community learning models. Francoise ensures that effective business practices and compliance controls, including Health and Safety, are implemented throughout the company.
Marta is originally from Poland but moved in January 2015 to the UK, where she joined Vervia. After spending a year working as a cleaner, in early 2016 she accepted a full-time role at one of Vervia’s school contracts as a caretaker/cleaning supervisor. When the school sadly closed in early 2018, Marta was then asked to join the Vervia management team as the Training Officer. She is a real ‘people’ person and now writes and delivers induction and ongoing training to all our cleaning operatives.
Cheryl started life as a professional chef, but reached new heights when she joined a leading international airline and became a member of cabin crew! She joined Vervia in 2009 after having her family and since then has been integral to the successful development of Vervia’s client portfolio using the database she has built herself. Whilst not scientifically proven, it is possible that every school, office building, golf club and church within a 30-mile radius of Woking has heard from Cheryl at one time or another!
