Maybe it’s because we spend a lot of time working with schools, but in cleaning there are three ingredients that combine to make a sustainable cleaning contract – the 3Rs.

We all know the saying: “If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is”

Well it’s no different in cleaning and, to be honest, we’d rather not win your business if it means losing it again a few months later because we under-priced and can’t deliver on our promises.

We understand – of course we do – that the cleaning regime in an office isn’t going to be the same as in a hospital. So we’ll discuss your needs with you and tell you in our honest opinion what it will realistically take to maintain your premises to the standard you require – hours, cleaner pay rates, equipment, contract management. We are happy to share our transparent pricing model with you.

Responsibility

Depending on what sort of organisation you are – a school, a medical centre, an office, a leisure complex or a block of flats – you’ll have certain obligations to your stakeholders, one of which will include maintaining a safe and hygienic environment in which to learn, work, play or live.

That’s where Vervia come in. Whether it’s vetting, safeguarding, health and safety, or building security, we will provide the evidence to show that you have met your responsibilities in these areas.

We’ll also demonstrate compliance with the terms of our contract by sharing with you information from our staff attendance and quality monitoring systems.

Staff illness and absence happens in cleaning, just like in any other industry. That means we need a system for providing cover. Others may tell you that when someone’s ill, another cleaner at the same site will cover their area. On occasion this may be possible. However, many cleaners aren’t able to work longer than planned because, like other people, they have lives to lead and in some cases other cleaning jobs to go to. What often happens is that the area doesn’t cleaned in full, or at all.

At Vervia, we recognise that the only realistic solution is to have mobile cleaners in vans, ready to drive to a location and cover. This is the only way for us to maintain our 100% guarantee of keeping your building clean. Because the mobile cleaner isn’t necessarily close by, it can sometimes take a while to get there. Which is why we ask clients to let us be a key holder.

Responsiveness also means being able to do one-off cleans at short notice. So if you have a coffee spill, or a child is unwell, or you need a hard floor polishing for a special event, we can schedule that quickly for you.  It’s those mobile cleaners again! They come in useful.
